Patterned Paper Challenge

The new challenge at Sisterhood of Crafters is to use Patterned Paper in your project.  I chose to use this beautiful floral pattern.  It is very busy, but with a vellum diecut, it is the perfect background.

I cut 3 layers of the Thinking of You die cut - twice from white cardstock and once from gold mirror cardstock.  The layered look of the sentiment really adds a lot of dimension to the card.  The piece is very sturdy beacuase I always use 110lb cardstock for my base.  I wish I had figured out this secret years ago.

I embellished the card with two Swarovski flatback crystals.  The "I's" needed a little something extra.  Swarovski makes everything sparklier.

I hope you will join us at the Sisterhood of Crafters for this challenge - show us your patterned paper!

New Mushroom Die Cuts

These super fun mushroom die cuts are new in my Etsy shop, PaperiebyJennifer.  I love the patterned paper and the quirky shape.

I include the little cut out pieces so you can mix and match patterns too.  These would make a really cute nature themed ATC.  What could you make with them?

Let's Make Cards Challenge

I created these fun cards for the Let's Make Cards Group Facebook challenge.  The theme was purple/black/white.  These were challenging colors to work with, but I liked how the combos turned out.  I wanted to use my new jat die so I cut some purple wildflowers to go with the jars.

This is the sparkly card I received from Lizbeth Kershaw-Collins.  She embossed the stars and hhand stamped the sentiment.  Nicely done!

Let's Have a Tea Party

The theme for the new challenge at The Sisterhood Challenge blog is "Let's Have a Tea Party".  I created this pretty card using layered papers and lots of die cuts.

I started with a Kraft base and added papers from Tonic Studios and Bo Bunny.  I love the French country look of blue, white and yellow.

I diecut 3 teapots from both white and blue cardstock and layered them together.  I really like the look of stacked dies - it makes a big difference.  The teapot dies are available at PaperiebyJennifer.  The blue is a textured cardstock from Tonic Studios.  The thank you is from the same paper as well.

I also cut a white doily to place behind the teapot.  Teapots and doilies go together, right?

Be sure to join us at the Sisterhood - we would love to see your Tea Party themed creations.

New Wildflower Die Cuts

There are lots of new wildflower and leaf spray die cuts available in my Etsy store this week.  Each lot is one-of-a-kind and cannot be replicated.

These die cuts were cut from heavy weight paper (not quite cardstock thickness).

These would make beautiful journal decorations and they look amazing on cards.
