Things with Wings - Take Flight

The newest challenge at Ruby's Rainbow Challenges is Things with Wings.  My card is called Take Flight.  I chose a butterfly and added lots of sparkles.  I always love to add lace to any card and I paired the lace with tissue tape and hand dyed seam binding.  A metal flower accent was the finishing touch.  Visit Ruby's Rainbow Challenges to show your things with wings creation.  I am also submitting this card to the Pile it On Challenge - Bling and Happy Campers - Bling.

Flowers in a Pot Card

I was inspired to create a flower themed card by both these new flower pot stickers from K & Co. and the flowers blooming on my porch. I think I managed to come up with shabby chic style with the fibers and lace.

This was my inspiration pile. I used my new Martha Stewart border punch and my new Teresa Collins Fabrications paper pad.  I am entering this card in the following:

Pile It On - Shabby Chic
The Hobby House - Anything Goes
Sister Act - Anything Goes
Stamping with the Dragon - Anything Goes

Gifts from vacation

My mom went on vacation and brought me back a fabulous old jar of vintage buttons from an antique store. There are old fashioned colors and even carved buttons. I love them!

She also brought me these amazing crinkled ribbons. I can't wait to use them on my next card.

Lilac Flowers Inchies Card

The current challenge at Ruby's Rainbow Challenges is sponsored by me!  The challenge is to create something using inchies.  Inchies are little squares of paper that can be hand cut or punched.  I used a punch for mine and inked all of the edges.  The lilac image is from Lili of the Valley and was already colored.  I added the 3 crystal gems at the bottom.

New Crinkle Ribbons

I found these beautiful crinkle ribbons at My Craft Spot.  These hand dyed colors are amazing and are so old fashioned.  I have already started using them on my cards.  I think they would be perfect for a pair of earrings too.  There are so many colors to choose from that I think I'll head back for more.

Father's Day Card

This is one of my Father's Day cards for this year.  The nautical theme is perfect and I love the map background paper. I had forgotten I had the ship in a bottle sticker which is a shaker sticker with little glitter confetti that moves around.   I used vintage seam binding ribbon and tissue tape along with a filigree corner piece.  I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Pile It On: Father's Day
Crafts4Eternity: For the Boys
Creative Belli : Father's Day
Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge: Father's Day
Crazy 4 Challenges: Father's Day
Party Time Tuesdays: Happy Fathers Day
Simon Says Stamp: Masculine/Father's Day
Paper Crafting Journey: Masculine
Stamp n Doodle: Father's Day/For a man
The Crafting Cafe: Here Come the Boys
The Perfect Sentiment #82: Father's Day/For a man
The Stamping Chef: Father's Day/For a man

Here is another card for this weekend.  I decided to stick with the nautical theme and I love the map.  Simple, but just right.

Vase of Flowers

This card was inspired by a Coloured Art Pad that I purchased from Lili of the Valley in the UK.  They offer these beautiful, colored floral images in a little pad that are ready to use.  I added glitter to my flowers, but I didn't have to color anything.  The colors are so vivid!  I just had to add a touch of vintage lace, and voila!  So pretty!  This card is for the new challenge at Alphabet Challenges.  Stop by and see the beautiful work of the design team.

Let it Snow

Even though the weather outside is not frightful, it is never too soon to get a jump start on winter and Christmas cards.  I designed this Let it Snow card for Sparkles Christmas Challenges.  The challenge for June is to create something using both buttons and bows.  I accented my snowflakes with buttons and added bows along the bottom border.  Please visit our sponsor Fantastic Ribbons for a great selection of ribbons and more.
