Layering Stamps Note Card Set

I created this set of note cards as a Christmas present for my friend, Zoe.  I used a neutral background layered over a navy blue print.  The rose was stamped in three colors using a layering stamp and the Misti stamping tool.  This tool is perfect for making multiple, identical designs.  These stamps are great for adding dimension and depth.  For the roses, I used a combination of Mementos inks and Distress Oxide ink.  The sentiments were all printed using a LaserJet printer and then foiled with navy blue foil.  Each sentiment banner was edged with more ink.  I think these pretty cards made a nice gift.

New Necklaces

These are my latest jewelry creations.  Dry Gulch has a new epoxy that has a two hour working time and is perfect for tiny crystals and stones.  Each of these pendants is made with crystals and epoxy.  I crocheted some of the necklaces and used some of our beautiful beaded chain for the rest.  You can find fun beading supplies at Dry Gulch.

These earrings were enameled and then decorated with epoxy and crystals.  These are perfectly lightweight.

Masculine Birthday Card

I created this birthday card for my dad.  I started with watercolor paper and used Deco foil gel over a geometric stencil.  It takes several hours for the gel to dry, but when it does, you can add foil for a beautiful look.  Next, I used spray ink from Lindy's Stamp Gang to color the background.  I added die cut gears and a stamped sentiment.

I am entering this card in the latest card challenge at Stamp Ink Paper.  The theme is say no to Christmas.

Christmas Botanical Card

This is the final card in my botanical print series.  I thought this red and white flower made a perfect Christmas card.  I added red and white flowers and green sprig diecuts.  The green background layer is made using Brushos and spray inks.  I used a layer of gilded vellum over red polka dotted cardstock.  I hope my sister likes it.

I am entering this card in the Christmas card challenge at Christmas Card Throwdown.  The theme is from Oct. 2012, diecuts.

CAS Watercolor Card Challenge

I found a watercolor challenge today so I decided to take a break and design a couple of cards using watercolor backgrounds.  I used Brushos for the green background and colored the bird with markers.  You can find the challenge at CAS Watercolour Card Challenge.  The design team members have created some beautiful cards to inspire you.  The challenge ends on Dec. 24.

This card was also made using Brushos.  I also added a little distress ink.  I cut the snowflake from glitter paper using a cutting die and the Vagabond.  The thanks sentiment is from a rub-on.

Red Botanical Card

This is the next piece I created using the botanical prints from Biodiversity Heritage Library.  The soft red tones of the background paper blend well with the print.  There is a layer of watercolored cardstock under the flowers and I once again used the gilded vellum.  I distressed the edges of the print using a Tim Holtz distressing tool and the edged it with distress inks.

Purple Botanical Card

This is the second botanical card I created using the botanical prints from Biodiversity Heritage Library.  I layered a gilded vellum piece over purple patterned cardstock.  The dark purple layer behind the print is a watercolored piece made with Brushos watercolors.  The powdered colors are rich and vibrant.
