Ready to make your own marbled designs?

Here is a fun and simple way to create your own marbled backgrounds in Procreate using the Liquify tool:

  1. Create a new canvas in Procreate and choose a background color that will complement your marbled design.

  2. Select the "Ink" brush from the brush library and choose a color for the ink that contrasts with the background color.

  3. Use the ink brush to create random shapes and lines on the canvas. These will form the basis of your marbled design.

  4. Create a new layer by tapping the "+" icon in the Layers panel. Use the ink brush to create another set of random shapes and lines on this layer.

  5. Tap the "Layer" panel to bring up the Layer options. Select the top layer with your new shapes, and then tap the "Liquify" option.

  6. Use the Liquify tool to warp and distort the shapes on the top layer. Be sure to try the different options available in the tool.  This will create a marbled effect as the colors blend together.

  7. Adjust the pressure and size of the Liquify tool as needed to achieve the desired effect.

  8. Repeat steps 4 to 7 with additional layers to build up your marbled design.

  9. Once you're satisfied with your marbled design, you can add additional details or effects, such as textures or gradients, to enhance your artwork.

  10. Export your marbled art by tapping on the "Share" button and choosing "Export as PNG."

That's it! With Procreate's Liquify tool, you can create unique and interesting marbled designs by distorting and blending your ink strokes. Experiment with different brush sizes and shapes to create your own custom marbled art.
