Poinsettia Background Card

I enjoyed making this pretty Christmas card with this week's free digital file, Poinsettia Backgrounds available at Paperie By Jennifer.

I started by printing the Poinsettia Backgrounds and applying holographic clear film.  Then I cut the background into a rectangle.

I added a few die cuts.  The pretty frame is from The Greetery.  The sentiment and tree are from my shop.  Attach these elements together for a one of a kind handmade card.

Easy Christmas Card Using Digital Backgrounds

Create a quick and simple Christmas card using our freebie digital file of the week, Christmas Ribbons Backgrounds.

Download and import the image into any software that will let you resize the image.  I resized the background to 2 inches wide and copied it until I had 9 images.  This is what fits on a single sheet and is enough for two cards.

Next, I trimmed the images to 1.75 inches square and adhered them to a red card base.  Once the squares were attached, I trimmed the card to a square to fit the pieces.  Using foam dots for dimension, I added a sparkly red bow from my Christmas Window Die Cuts collection to finish it off.

This a pretty but simple card to make.  Change up the color scheme and the background papers to make a birthday card.
