Cutting Stickers in Silhouette Studio

Art Stickers - Shamrock

These cute new stickers are a blend of colorized vintage images and new hand drawn artwork by me.  These stickers are so fun to design!

Have you ever wondered how to cut your own stickers?  If you have a Silhouette Cameo or Portrait cutting machine, it is super easy.  See below for step-by-step instructions.

Art Stickers - Rainbow

These fun non-traditional rainbow stickers are super cute!  The tiny, colorful flowers are included as well.

Sure, here's a step-by-step guide on how to cut stickers on a Silhouette cutting machine:

1.     Open the Silhouette Studio software on your computer and create a new document with the size and orientation that matches your sticker design.

2.     Import your sticker design into the software by clicking on "File" and choosing "Open" or by dragging and dropping the design file into the workspace.

3.     Adjust the cut settings by clicking on the "Send" tab on the top toolbar. Select your material type, thickness, and blade settings. Make sure to do a test cut to ensure that your settings are accurate.

4.     Prepare your Silhouette cutting machine by turning it on and connecting it to your computer with a USB cable. Load the cutting mat into the machine and adjust the rollers to fit the width of the mat.

5.     In the Silhouette Studio software, click on the "Send" tab again and choose the correct cutting mat size and orientation.

6.     Place the sticker paper onto the cutting mat with the adhesive side facing down. Smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles.

7.     Load the cutting mat into the Silhouette cutting machine and press the "Load" button.

8.     In the Silhouette Studio software, click on the "Send" button to send the cutting job to the machine.

9.     Wait for the machine to finish cutting your sticker design. Once the machine has finished cutting, press the "Unload" button to remove the cutting mat from the machine.

10.  Carefully remove the stickers from the cutting mat and use them as desired.

That's it! With a Silhouette cutting machine, you can easily and accurately cut out your sticker designs. Remember to always test your cut settings and to handle the cutting machine and materials with care.

Happy Birthday Tag

Welcome to the newest challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters challenge blog.  The theme for the new challenge is "Anything but a Card".  My granddaughter's birthday is coming up so I made her an over the top, pink birthday tag.  The satin mirrorcard is very hard to photograph.

I used sparkly glitter cardstock from Tonic Studios.  They have the best papers.  The cupcake die comes with lots of flowers- I will have to use them on another project.  The beautiful hand-dyed seam binding ribbon is from Dry Gulch.

I hope you will join the fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters challenges.

Purple and Black Challenge

The October theme at Pearly Sparkles Challenges is to use the colors Purple and/or black.  I decided to make a Halloween card since it is perfect timing.  I started with purple 110lb cardstock for the card base and added Tonic Studios purple glitter cardstock.  Next, I die cut a stitched rectangle frame from the new Tim Holtz Halloween paper.

I cut the haunted house die cut from black holographic cardstock.  The colors shift as you hold it in the light.  I cut several tombstones from mirror and glitter cardstock.  I added a glittery white ghost to finish it off.

Be sure to join us in the challenge.  We would love to see your creations.

Pink Pearls

The September theme at Pearly Sparkles Challenges is Pink Pearls and Sparkle.  I created this pretty card using both glitter and pearls.  I tipped the little roses in glitter and they are super sparkly.  I used a white leaf spray die cut which contrasts nicely with the pink patterned paper background.

I used Nuvo embossing powder for the sentiment.  I love Nuvo EP - it always melts perfectly.

Join us at the challenge blog and show us your pretty pink creations.

Thinking of You

Welcome to the newest challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters challenge blog.  The theme for the new challenge is "It's the Thought that Counts".  Show us your creations where the sentiment takes center stage.

I used this large, thinking of you sentiment die and cut it from textured cardstock from Tonic Studios.  I added a glittery frame and a tiny crystal to dot the "i".  The star of the show is without a doubt, the beautiful marbled paper background.  My sister creates these works of art.  You can find them in her Etsy shop, CraftFanaticDesigns.

Have a Lovely Day

The August theme at Pearly Sparkles Challenges is Anything Goes.  I created this pretty card using one of my sister's fabulous marlbed background papers. Each background is unique as well as double sided.  She uses watercolor paper and the colors are just dreamy.  You can find them in her Etsy shop, CraftFanaticDesigns.

I added some fun die cuts and even a little rubber stamping for the sentiment.  I hope you will join the challenge and show us your creations.
