A Winter Scene

The new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenges is "A Winter Scene".  I chose a vintage postcard of a wintery bird scene.  I distressed the edge and added a little ink.  The branches needed a little glitter so added Stickles.  The festive poinsettia flowers sit on a piece of beautiful burgundy ribbon.  I added a couple of crystal gem swirls.  It looks like I negelcted to add any lace to this one - amazing!  Be sure to join us at Sparkles and show us your creation.  This month's sponsor is Marianne Design and the prize is either 1 stamp and 1 die or 2 dies.  They have some really beautiful dies.

Recipe Card Challenge

The new challenge at Ruby's Rainbow Challenges is to use the recipe "Twine, Buttons & Embossing".  I chose a neutral embossed paper to layer over the old-fashioned floral print card base.  I inked the embossed areas lightly with Tea Dye Distress Ink and added a filigree corner (from Dry Gulch Beads).    The vintage nests and eggs advertisement went beautifullt with the champagne colored crystal bird sticker.  Everycard needs a little lace and that is the base for my twine and the vintage buttons.  Stop by and show us what you can cook up with this recipe.

Easter Cards

I wanted to show off the beautiful cards that I received for Easter this year.  My talented sister Sam and daughter Gianna gave me these pretty creations.  My sister used Inkadinkado stamps to create the background for the bottom card.  I love the embossed cardstock and the little birdie.  Gianna layered papers with flowers and a diecut and finished it off with crystal gems. I love the colors of both of them.  I love it when I receive cards from my family!
